Spring Yard Cleaning

We've had some lovely weather here, so we decided to rake up a few leaves. Of course, Lukas is quite the helper. Although he has his own little rake, he prefers to use ours. But what's even more fun than raking is stomping in a puddle with a stick in each hand. The runner up might have been the wagon. Then, swinging. Probably raking was least fun for Lukas.

After the afternoon of outdoor fun, Lukas took a long nap while Daddy played X-Box. I picked up China from the vet, and what a treat I got - a pee-soaked kitty cat. I got to come home and give her a bath (Daddy helped). What joy.

Nanna rode to England with Lukas & me to pick up my little brother Kevin. He's staying with us until Sunday (it's spring break). We tried to eat at Cotham's on the way home, but they are only open for lunch during the week. So, Taco Bell & McDonald's were the next best thing. Lukas tried a taco, Mexican Pizza, taquito, and nachos bell grande. He liked everything. It was so cute watching him try to eat a taco. Click *here* to see!

Splish Splash

Lukas & Kolby making a splash

Saturday afternoon I took Lukas to Grandma & Grandpa Holt's to spend the night with the cousins. Looks like he had a wonderful time. He got to play outside with Grandma today. Daddy & I picked him up this evening and he fell asleep in the car. When we got home, we put him in bed and he kept on sleeping. After a couple hours he woke up and talked to himself for quite a while, then went on back to sleep. Oh, what a good sleeper we have. See all the pictures *here*.

Jack on the slide

Saturday morning our pal J.J. was hosting a Body Shop at Home party. Since her 22-month-old son was going to be there, I took Lukas (and Nanna & Jessica). I'm not sure the boys interacted much, but Lukas did enjoy playing with Jack's toys and his swing set.

Yard Work

Today we worked in the yard with Daddy. Well, really we just raked leaves out of half the front yard and then it was snack time and then it was nap time. Lukas had a big time picking up leaves, sticks, and rocks. Then he totally mastered the steps on the porch - he went up and down, side to side, and twirled around on the porch. So cute!

Playing with Uncle Kevin

We spent St. Patrick's Day with Uncle Kevin (he stayed all weekend) and Nanna. Great Aunt Mary stopped by Saturday morning for a short visit. We made biscuits and chocolate gravy for breakfast, just like Nanna & Aunt Mary used to have as kids. Good stuff - Lukas loved it! Kevin decided to stick with the cinnamon & sugar toast (no crust). After Aunt Mary left, we headed out for a full day of shopping. We got some clothes, toys, household necessities, and Thomas Trains for Kevin (he got straight A's on his report card!). Saturday evening Daddy joined Kevin & me for a game night after Lukas went to bed. Sunday Daddy went to work, Grandpa Grammer & Aunt Kellie came to eat lunch and pick up Kevin. We had pizza and Lukas ate more than Kevin & Kellie combined. Sunday afternoon Lukas took a dive off the couch and landed on his head. He did the same thing Monday afternoon. He's on a roll.

Monday afternoon (after diving off the couch) we went and visited with Grandma & Grandpa Holt. Lukas got to play with his cousins, Kolby (6 months) & Devon (9 months). Both cousins are thinking about crawling.

Grandma Barb called today and says Kevin wants to spend spring break with us. Hmmm, let me think about that. It's next week!

Recycled Robe

I think most of you know (and love) Rich's robe. He got it in high school and wore it until this Valentine's Day. It had a big hole under the arm and I decided to replace it. Although it was old and well worn, it seemed a shame to toss all that decent fabric in the trash. Also seemed sad to chop it up for rags. So, it has a new life now. Thanks to Nanna, it is now a mini-daddy-robe for Lukas. She used the sleeves for Lukas' sleeves, the pockets are Lukas' pockets, the belt and loops are the same too. Basically, she shrank the robe for Lukas! It's so cute! Grandma & Grandpa Haddock thought it was great (Grandma bought the thing I think).

Baby's Back

Long time since I posted - but Lukas is back from his week-long trip to Grandma & Grandpa Haddock's in Dallas. He had a great trip and I stayed sick most of the time he was gone, so it worked out well. Daddy & I missed the boy, but he can go back any time!

I haven't received any photos of his trip, but I do have a lovely video. Looks like he didn't even know we were missing.

Glad he's back, now I need to get to taking more pictures!
